From a carpentry apprenticeship to custom homes and renovations across Sydney's Hills and Hawkesbury.

The foundation

A career in the trades begins

Ryan completed his carpentry trade in 2001, having grown up on job sites with his father and extended family. By 2003, he and Tara were running their own carpentry business together — six years building skills, reputation, and a life.

Licensed & launched

Hannon Constructions — October 2011

Builder's licence earned. Hannon Constructions opens its doors. From day one, Ryan's hands-on approach and commitment to quality set the tone for everything that followed.

The early years were defined by word-of-mouth growth. Renovations, extensions and outdoor entertaining areas across the Hawkesbury and Hills — each one finished to a standard that brought the next client through the door.

2011–15

Bigger scopes, higher expectations

Projects grew in scale and complexity — full additions with master suites, outdoor living areas with pools, and whole-home renovations. Clients became advocates who recommended Hannon to everyone they knew.

Granny flats, complete new-look transformations, multi-stage additions — Ryan built a specific reputation for taking on the jobs others turned down. The harder the brief, the more invested the team became in getting it right.

Forever home — Hawkesbury

Ryan and Tara build their own dream home on two acres in the Hawkesbury. Designed to be well loved, well lived in, and surrounded by the natural beauty of the area.

Hannon Constructions has been transforming homes across Sydney’s Hills and Hawkesbury since October 2011. Founded by licensed builder Ryan Hannon — a tradesman since his teens — we specialise in renovations, extensions, complex additions, and architecturally designed new homes. From a first conversation to final handover, every project is built the way we’d build our own.

Ryan’s building knowledge spans more than two decades — carpentry, residential construction, complex structural additions, and everything in between. As a licensed NSW builder, fully insured and proud HIA member, he leads every Hannon Constructions project personally. You won’t deal with a project manager you’ve never met. You deal with Ryan.

Extending a family home, building a granny flat for ageing parents, creating an outdoor space a family will live in for decades — this is the work that gets us out of bed. We love watching a vision become reality, and we take that responsibility seriously. Every project matters. Every detail counts. And we’re not done until you’re proud of what we’ve built together.
