Hannon Constructions Staging

Outdoor Entertaining Areas, Decks & Pergolas

Covered alfresco areas, timber decks, pergolas and pool surround construction, finished to the same high standard as the rest of your home.

Quality outdoor construction, built to last in Australian conditions

Australians live outdoors, and a well-built entertaining area changes the way your family uses your home every single day. At Hannon Constructions, we take that seriously. We build alfresco areas, decks, pergolas and pool surrounds to the same standard we apply to every other project, properly engineered, properly finished, and built to handle the Australian climate for decades.

We are hands-on throughout, not a company that wins the job and hands it off. You will deal with us directly from the first conversation to the day the build is finished.

We build across the Hawkesbury, Hills District, and wider Sydney basin. If you have plans, or just an idea, we would love to talk.

What Drives Us

What we bring to every outdoor area build

Covered alfresco areas

A well built alfresco area extends your indoor living space outdoors and provides year round entertaining regardless of the weather. We manage all structural, roofing, electrical and finishing work throughout.

Decks and outdoor structures

Hardwood timber decks, composite decking, elevated structures and pergolas. We build outdoor structures that are properly engineered, structurally sound, and finished to complement the existing home.

Full project management

From council approvals and engineering sign offs through to trades coordination and site supervision, we manage the entire process so you do not have to.

Quality and compliance

All structural work engineered and certified to Australian standards. We do not cut corners, on compliance, on materials, or on finish.

High end finishes

Travertine paving, stone benchtops, integrated outdoor kitchens, quality timber and composite materials. We work with premium finishes and the trades who know how to use them properly.

Direct client relationship

Ryan and Tara respond to all enquiries personally and are your point of contact throughout. You will not be handed off to someone new, we're with you the whole way.

How It works

Your outdoor area, step by step

1

Tell us about your project

Once you get in contact with our team we will ask you to complete an online form which helps us understand your project goals, budget, timeframe, inspiration and overall vision of your project. We organise a phone call – Ryan personally calls you to discuss your project in detail, answer questions, explore ideas and determine the best next steps for your renovation or build.and ensure it aligns with our expertise, values and service area so we can deliver the best possible experience and outcome.

2

Initial Site meeting

We meet onsite to review your home, discuss ideas, explore possibilities, assess challenges and begin shaping the scope, vision and strategy for your project.
After the meeting, we provide detailed notes, recommendations and the next steps required to move your project into the planning and design phase.
We collaborate closely with you and your architect/designer to refine layouts, selections, functionality and construction details before pricing begins.

3

Approvals & planning

We handle the paperwork From council approvals to engineering sign-offs, we manage the documentation process so you don’t have to. Tara coordinates all scheduling, compliance, and pre-build administration, keeping everything on track before a single nail is driven.

4

Build & handover

Ryan is on site, every step of the way. We’re not a company that quotes and disappears. Ryan is hands-on throughout the entire build,  managing trades, maintaining quality standards, and keeping you updated at every stage. You’ll always know where your project is at.

We’re not done until you’re happy Final walkthrough, defects rectified, and a thorough handover. We don’t consider a job finished until every detail is right. And we’re still contactable after handover, because the relationships we build with clients matter as much as the homes we build for them.

Common Questions

Outdoor area construction FAQs

It depends on the size, height and location of the structure on your property. Many decks and pergolas under a certain size can be approved as exempt or complying development, while larger or more complex outdoor entertainment areas may require a Development Application. We will advise you on exactly what applies to your property before we start.

An alfresco area typically refers to a covered outdoor entertaining space attached to the home, often with a roofline that integrates with the main structure. A pergola is generally a freestanding or attached open structure with a lattice or open roof. Both can be built as part of a complete outdoor entertainment area and we build both.

Absolutely. Many of our outdoor entertainment area builds are delivered as part of a broader home renovation or addition. Building the outdoor area at the same time as an internal renovation means everything integrates properly, structurally and visually.

Yes. Poolside entertaining areas are one of our most requested outdoor builds. From travertine paving and timber decking through to covered pergola structures and full outdoor kitchens, we build complete poolside entertaining zones that tie the pool into a finished, functional outdoor living space.
